I'm not an animal rights activist, but at the same time I've never gone out of my way to harm one. And yet, the best reason I can think of to own and wear a fur coat is the existence of PETA. Every member of PETA I've ever talked to has been a self righteous asshole. Which is why I'm so happy to read this:

Two employees of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals were arrested on animal cruelty charges in Ahoskie, N.C., after investigators saw dead dogs being thrown into a grocery store garbage container Wednesday, according to the Ahoskie Police Department.
